When to visit Kerala: a month-by-month guide
Kerala is a year-round destination — but each season has its own quiet magic. Here is how to choose the right month for the trip you have in mind.

Most travellers ask us the same first question: when should I come to Kerala? The honest answer is — it depends on what you want from the trip.
The dry season: November to February
This is Kerala at its postcard best — blue skies, warm sea, cool nights in the hills. It is also peak season, so book in advance.
- November — the post-monsoon glow.
- December — Christmas in Fort Kochi.
- January — coolest month, perfect for the hills.
- February — wildlife is most visible.
Monsoon: June to September
Don't write off the monsoon. The rain comes in spectacular bursts, and it is the traditional Ayurveda season.
